Samaán (pronounced suh-maan)
comes from the Hindi word meaning "belongings."
At its simplest, it represents the physical things we carry as we move through the world — the clothes in our suitcase, the essentials that follow us from place to place, the items that make travel possible.
But it also speaks to something deeper.

Samaán was inspired by my grandmother.
In the middle of the night, she fled Cuba with a single bag — carrying more than belongings.
It held courage. Sacrifice. Dreams for a brighter future.
Her story is the foundation of Samaán.
And it’s what reminds me every day that what we carry is never just stuff — it’s the life we’re creating as we move forward.
The freedom to explore, to grow, to experience the world openly.
